Apex Blog Post Leaks R-301, Rampage In Season 13 Crafting Rotation

Apex Legends is in the midst of the build-up to Season 13, with trailers and new information about changes coming to the game almost every day now. Monday brought the full Saviors gameplay trailer, as well as a full breakdown of in-store map changes for Storm Point.

However, some eagle-eyed Reddit users noticed some very different news included in the map changes blog post.

In a screenshot of the Storm Point map released in the update, showing where the new POI and IMC arsenals are, the crafting rotation is included in the top right of the map, as is usually the case. . This crafting rotation shows the R-301 and Rampage LMG as craftable weapons, while the Flatline and Longbow are nowhere to be found. Reddit user Spyrogrunt2, alongside a host of social media users, noticed this new crafting rotation almost immediately.

Was this a developer oversight? Or was this intentionally put on the map in order to mislead players? It wouldn’t be the first time that Respawn has tried to employ a bit of misdirection with the Summit community, as the studio tries to stay one step ahead of dataminers and leakers. It’s very possible that this displayed crafting rotation is just the dev lag players, and nothing more.

On the other hand, Season 12 was the first to feature weapons in the replicators, and it’s hard to say exactly Respawn’s plans for weapons in the replicator in the future. Perhaps the original plan was to change both replicator weapons every season. If so, it makes sense to replace the Flatline with the R-301, since the two assault rifles are so often compared to each other. And if the rumors are indeed true that the Spitfire is dropping from the care package in Season 13, removing the other LMG heavy ammo from the floor loot pool also seems like a smart move.

For now, take the “leak” crafting rotation with several grains of salt. There’s still a good chance there won’t be any changes to weapons in the crafting rotation, and the image has been intentionally changed to keep players on their toes as they search for leaks.

If this crafting spin turns out to be true, get ready to start throwing light ammo. There will be a lot of R-301 circulating in the Outlands.
