Syracuse target Brandon Huntley-Hatfield publishes his latest blog on SI All-American, and discussed the latest of his recruiting. This includes Zooming him with the Syracuse coaching staff.
“The most recent Zoom I had was with Syracuse and it went really well,” wrote Huntley-Hatfield. “They really told me what I meant to them as a player. It was really different because they didn’t mention my coming in 2021. They told me they weren’t going to recruit anyone else to my post because I was their guy in my class.
“They were really excited to have a chance in my recruiting, and I could tell they really wanted me there. I feel like their track record with guys like me is something that could set me up for success, so it’s definitely a school I’m very attached to.
Huntley-Hatfield is one of the elite hopefuls in the 2022 class and has the option of upgrading in 2021 if he wishes. He is considered by most to be one of the top 10 players in the category and one of the cycle’s top power prospects. He has a top six which includes Ole Miss, Kansas, Wake Forest, Tennessee and Auburn in addition to Syracuse.
Huntley-Hatfield added that he also spoke with Missouri and LSU, but is now focusing on those six schools.
