Actress Julia Fox wrote a blog post about her date with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, after she was spotted attending a theatrical performance together this week.
Fox, who received acclaim for her first performance in the 2019 Adam Sandler film Uncut gems, was seen with the artist leaving a production of slave game in New York on Wednesday, January 5.
In one piece for Interview magazine, the 31-year-old said she had an “instant connection” after meeting Ye in Miami on New Years Eve, and described him as “so fun to be around”.
“He made us laugh, dance and smile with my friends all night long. We decided to save the energy and head back to New York to see slave game,” she said.
“Ye’s flight landed at six and the room was at seven and he was there ON TIME. I was impressed. After the play, we chose to have dinner at Carbone which is one of my favorite restaurants. Obviously.”
Fox said Ye did a photoshoot for her in the restaurant while other guests were having dinner, before surprising her with “an entire hotel suite full of clothes.”
“It was every girl’s dream come true,” she wrote. “It was like a real Cinderella moment. I don’t know how he did it, or how he pulled it all off on time. But I was so surprised. Like, who does things like that on a second date. “You? Or any date! Everything about us has been so organic. I don’t know where things are going, but if it’s any indication of the future, I love the ride.”
The article was accompanied by several photos from the “date,” including Fox and Ye kissing in the hotel suite where she tried on several outfits.
On social media, some fans accused Ye of “arranging” the date as an attempt to make his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, jealous.
